To be a Pilot is my life story as it was associated with Aviation. It comprises many stand alone chapters from the days I was a young schoolboy through some significant experiences when I was an airline pilot. I deal with commercial aviation issues not often understood by the general public and couple these with numerous examples. Airline flying was followed by some even more unusual experiences when I was developing and operating a Corporate and Charter aviation business based in the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean. My discovery of Jonestown, the Grenada Intervention are just two examples of my personal experience. Finally I give an account of my flying experiences in the United States, reflections of flying in general and a look into the future.
This book may be appreciated by those aspiring to be pilots, those involved in the industry and members of the public, who simply want to understand a little more about what is taking place behind that door in the front of the plane.
To be a Pilot is not a work of literature, but it is an easy read where even some of the more technical details may be understood by those not familiar with the Theory of Flight.
